Hang 'em high

Noooooo!!!

I got summoned for JURY DUTY!!!! Ahhh!!!!

All through March. Well, at least I'll hopefully just get to sit and read all day.

I know this is like just evil of me to even suggest this, but despite you being perfect for many juries (single, unattached etc...), there are simple ways of
avoiding them if needed. So just sock this info away for a day in the not so distant future when you have a sweet hubby/S.O. and/or the 2.5 kids swirling around in your ultra busy life. If you don't answer the call they won't come for you. They'll just move on down the list.

To be sure it's valuable experience and all, but it can be awfully tedious. Years ago before cable (yeah I know, way back in the Paleozoic), it used to be
some of the only serious entertainment in town. Besides the strip clubs I mean. Cheers, 'VJ'

Hmmm... so let me get this straight... being single makes me prime for jury duty, when I have a husband and kids my life will be "ultra busy", and then it'll be justified to ignore summons?

Wow.

Man, some people just can't wait to jump down some throats. I'm sure Rees knows that it's her duty as a citizen of this country to serve jury duty blah blah blah, and as a citizen of this country she's allowed to complain about it, because lets face it, it's not fun. It's also not dramatic or glamourous, such as Law and Order would like us to believe. That being said, yes, it is a very important duty, and I'm sure Rees will let us all know how much she enjoyed defending tyranny in America.

i find it hard to believe that Rees will be co-staring shortly in 12 Angry Men 2: Fighting Tyranny, during the month of March. And just cause I wrote a blog post on paying parking tickets and how its pays for City Schools doesn't mean i should be barking at someone for being pissed they parked in the yellow while running in to grab some double-ply Charmin. it just seems a little preachy to jump down the back of someone who recognizes that it could be a bummer as it jacks up an entire month. maybe she should just get cable and have a Judge Mathis marathon.

Um...no matter how much of a civic duty it may be, jury duty, nonetheless, SUCKS. And Rees is not alone for saying so. Whether or not we are saving the world "one juror at a time", no one likes sacrificing their pay for minimum wage. AND MR. JABRONI: Judge Mablean of Divorce Court rocks Judge Mathis any day.

your outta your mind dolt. Judge Mathis was on the streets, ran with a bad crowd, cleaned-up his life, went to law school and became a judge. so he relates more with the common man and can speak to the deliquents cause "that was me". plus he loves telling white kids "you think your a thug, you think your big pimpin, i'm from the hood and you ain't no pimp"
